Well, the top was too light and the bottom too dark for this photo to work like I wanted it to, but I think it's still worth showing. The tiny old houses backed by huge new buildings. That almost reddish smudge at the top of the building in the center is actually a crane, as more building goes on. (I know there no excuse for taking a bad photo like this with a digital camera where I can check it afterwards, but, well, I didn't check it...) The houses buildings in front had chickenwire or something over the fronts of them, maybe to keep the old brick from crumbling onto the street.
